It’s Saturday morning, and I am coming off one very intense week.
I have a way of getting drawn into people. If I care about you in a certain way or to a particular degree, I can absorb your emotional state. I’m not sure what that pathology is. It has something to do with wanting more from you; coveting a closeness, or maybe even wanting, in some way, to be you. It has something to do with wanting to feel more alive. This all sounds very young. immature. And I do think it comes from a young and immature place, possibly even vampiristic. I kind of… want to feel your pain. And then maybe you’ll love me more.
That all sounds crazy, and entirely self-serving. And there is probably some truth in all of it. But it’s also coming from my most giving and nurturing true self. Funny how all these truths coexist. Read the rest of this entry »
