I want more, impossible to ignore

People have been asking me how my first week of work went, and it’s like, impossible to answer. I’ve been there, doing the same thing as a freelancer, for four months. And also, this was a funky week; the office had been closed since December 21st, and we reopenened on the 2nd, so it was an odd week with a Wednesday that felt like a Monday and an all-over disorientation among the masses; my boss was on vacation so I was covering his work, which was hard and confusing; there was a distinct lack of bravado around my being brought on full-time (probably mostly because of these other two factors); and I was called away to orientation meetings. But even with all that it was pretty good.

Friday night I stayed in the city at my brother’s. I got about 20 minutes of Benjamin time before they all left for a skiing weekend and I went out for the evening. It was nice.
